The WM2c device is a high power mesh router that provides robust internet coverage just about anywhere you need to provide a WiFi connection. Examples include hotels, apartments, neighborhoods, coffee shops, shopping malls, campgrounds, and marinas. Each router is an access point, mesh gateway and repeater all in one tiny reliable package.
It’s also two networks in one with both open (public) and secure (WPA) encrypted SSIDs so you can share a connection without sharing your data. You can limit access and bandwidth by user through the full-featured interface. Create your own splash-page, issue vouchers both paid and free or use pay-pal to allow users to pay for access as needed. Public users are isolated from the Private network providing two independent networks with only one set of hardware.
The CSI WM2c Wireless Node solution has a small hardware footprint to provide a greater range of coverage in many different locations and environments. . A node can be powered by an AC outlet or via “Power over Ethernet” utilizing the data cable for power.
WM2c uses the Better Approach To Mobile Adhoc Networking, or B.A.T.M.A.N. hardware with all the features you’re looking for in a wireless mesh network. B.A.T.M.A.N.'s crucial point is the decentralization of the knowledge about the best route through the network - no single node has all the data. Using this technique, the need for spreading information concerning network changes to every node in the network becomes superfluous. The individual node only saves information about the “direction” it received data from and sends its data accordingly. Hereby the data gets passed on from node to node and packets get individual, dynamically created routes. A network of collective intelligence is created.
